Find The Two Best Local Wineries Near Roussillon

The famous village of Roussillon is situated in the heart of the Luberon. As a wine growing region, the Luberon is one of the 7 appellations of the Cote Du Rhone, famous for Rosé, but also rich red wines produced from Syrah and Grenache. White wine is also produced using Grenache Blanc, Mouvedre and Cinsaut.

Surrounding the village of Roussillon and our accommodation of Villa Rosalys are many great wineries, including Domaine Tara, Domain La Tuilière, Domain Girod and Domain Chasson – Chateau Blanc

Close by near the village of Oppede, we have discovered a fantastic local winery called Domaine La Royere. Situated just over 10 minutes from Villa Rosalys, this family run wine estate has been operating since 1988. Specializing in the local Provencal Rose, along with Red and White wine. For a rich and robust Rose, try Les Oliviers Rose or for a slightly sweeter style, try Rose Fruite

Visit Monday to Saturday and enjoy the wine museum along with a tasting of their special Olive Oil. You can also arrange wine tours of the Domain.

Another fantastic discovery is situated near Goult. Domaine De la Verriere is a timeless winery and the winery most locals visit. Situated 10 minutes from Villa Rosalys, this local winery has been in existence since the 1900s. Part of the community, situated near the ancient and beautiful village of Goult, all our guests love this winery.

For everyday drinking, we choose Tendre Rose de la Verriere, light and perfect for a summer lunch or an afternoon Apero. For a special occasion, we always buy Jacotte, a perfect Red for duck or even Pasta.
