Vintage French Cutlery 24pces Silver plated

This is a fantastic vintage set of French Silver plated Cutlery of 12 large Forks and 12 Spoons. All are very very heavily adorned with a floral theme. Each side is equally beautiful. They are in their original box still and in fantastic condition. A set like this will be in the family forever. Size: L Fork 21cm, Spoon 21.5cm. The set weighs 2451 grms. History:
Vintage sets often did not include any knives at all. Cutlery sets were often given as wedding gifts. To have knives included, met with superstition. Giving the gift of knives, one thought that it would sever the bond between the married couple. That is why you often find sets of boxed knives separately in antique stores.
