This exquisite set of 2 Limoges Espresso Cups and Saucers are adorned with the Abeille Napoleon, or Napoleon Bee. They are in grand condition and so very very pretty with the green and gold and the Bee. Size: Cup dia 5 x h 5cm, saucer dia 10.5cm. This exquisite Limoges set weighs 199 grms. Napoleon choose the symbol of the Bee for his army. It was the symbol of the royal Mérovingiens, the first royal dynasty of France. On the occasion of Napoleon’s coronation, 1500 gold bee’s were embroidered on his imperial coat.
