French vintage Tastevin w/cord
A Tastevin is a relatively small, shallow cup with a thumb-handle, which was traditionally (and for some still) used by winemakers and négociants when judging the maturity, quality, clarity and taste of a wine. (Typically from the barrel in the cellar). This Tastevin cup with its original cord still is silver plated and was made in 1964. It has a raised design so that the appearance and colour of the wines, especially the reds, can be appreciated and the concavities bring out the ruby-red reflections. Size: Cup dia 8.5cm x h 3cm, cord length 60cm. This is a vintage and unique item sourced from the markets in France. Price includes postage.
