French Vintage Inkwell

This is a very very nice vintage Inkwell made from wood and brass with crystal inkwells in perfect condition. The set has a small brass plaque which is engraved as follows: A Monsieur Le Chef de Cabinet. Le Personnel de L’intendance Regionale de Police de Marseille, translated as: To the Chief Inspector. – (From) The Staff of the Regional Police Department of Marseilles. I would think that this was a retirement gift to the Chief of Police in Marseille. A wonderful piece in great condition. Size as follows: wooden base 31 x 17 x h 2cm, each crystal inkwell is 5.5 x 5.5 x h 7cm. Total height is 9 cm. The weights is 1642 grms. Postage from France included.
