The enchanting grey hue that is found in our vintage rattan collection is a natural colouring process

that takes place over 3 weeks while the rattan is soaked in muddy water.  During this time the strands

soak up the colour of the mud and are laid out to dry in the sun before the weaving process can begin.

The end product relies on time and nature without the intervention of chemicals and artificial colours

to progress the process.  The result is a natural, warm colouring that will continue to change with the
